1. SOLBERG / MILLS
I had a small vibration from the front left tyre, but no real problems.
2. HIRVONEN / LEHTINEN
We have fitted harder tyres no problems on the stage.
4. SAINZ / MARTI
I am trying to fight for the lead, not just second place.
5. GRÖNHOLM / RAUTIAINEN
I was delayed by Jussis dust but I was a lot quicker than Harri he must be sleeping today! The dust was so bad, that on a flat right corner I thought I was in the middle of the road and discovered that I was very nearly off the road.
6. ROVANPERÄ / PIETILAINEN
The low sun was a problem.
7. MÄRTIN / PARK
I lost my brakes at the end of the stage which is a particular characteristic of this stage. But it should not be a problem for the rest of the stages.
8. DUVAL / PREVOT
I think driving without risk is the best strategy.
9. PANIZZI / PANIZZI
No problems, just the light.
11. WARMBOLD / PRICE
We had a problem with the low sun and Harris dust which hung in the air.
12. VALIMAKI / HONKANEN
We lost hydraulic pressure - it failed five kilometres from the start.
32. SINGH / OH
Handling still very odd.
33. SOLA / AMIGO COLON
We have gearbox problems.
34. McSHEA / NOBLE
Very anxious to see Singhs time so I see how I have to pace myself.
36. TRIVINO / BARRABES
Taking it steady, just want to finish the rally.
37. ROMAN / NILLSON
Everything ok except for the rear window keeps opening with all the dust around, its the last thing we need!
