Wilson: Tuleb arvesse võtta, et eelmisel hooajal ei olnud Markko autol kordagi tehnilisi probleeme. Kuid tänavune hooaeg on aia taha läinud valmistume tulevaks hooajaks.

koda Motorsport kinnitas neljapäeval, et meeskond ei registreeri ennast 2004. aasta maailmameistrivõistlustele ning osaleb vaid Euroopas toimuvatel rallidel.
Kolmapäeval Tehhi ajalehele Sport antud intervjuus kinnitas koda juht Mr. Kulhanek, et autotootja WRC meeskond osaleb vaid Euroopas toimuvatel rallidel.
Suurbritannia ralli soojenduskatse ajal lausus koda rallimeeskonna juht Pavel Janeba: Põhjus on reeglites ja kalendri laiendamises see on liiga kulukas. Sarjas osalemine muutub kallimaks.
Janeba kinnitas ka, et meeskond osaleb vaid Euroopas peetavatel rallidel ning keskendub praeguse auto arendamisele.
Meeskonna üheks sõitjaks 2004. aastal on Toni Gardemeister, kelle meeskonnakaaslase koha kandidaatideks on Didier Auriol, Roman Kresta, Armin Schwarz ja Jan Kopecky.

M-Sport Managing Director Malcolm Wilson has admitted that it is highly unlikely that he would be able to run works drivers Markko Martin and Francois Duval on a private basis if Ford pulled out of the World Rally Championship.
M-Sport - Fords works team - has the cars, the personnel and the equipment, but there is no sign of the sponsorship to compete on an equal footing with factory teams without factory backing, despite the performance of the 2003 Focuses. Wilson pledged that M-Sport would continue in 2004, but purely as a customer operation if Ford withdrew. He is unable to make a commitment to Finnish apprentices Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala at present.
Ford has wavered over its involvement for months and has held two high-level meetings in the past week, but appears not to have made a decision yet. It has contracts for 2004 with M-Sport, Martin and sponsor BP. The programme has been placed in doubt by the companys dire trading performance in Europe, although recent research suggests that its involvement has been worth US$40,000,000 in television exposure so far this year.
Im worried, but Im not thinking that were not going to be rallying, Wilson said. Even if we get the green light, there are going to be changes. I think they [Martin and Duval] can win this championship. The whole infrastructure is there to do it.
