We had a really good day today. The car was working really well - much better than yesterday. And also the stages suited me, they were more open, fast and flowing and it was nice to have a real push and show what we could do with a 3rd and 2nd fastest time on the two stages this morning.

The afternoon was tricky, the surface became a little more abrasive and actually slippery and there was lots of dust in the last stage. But overall it's been good and we've been able to set top times even when the top guys are pushing like mad for the rally lead.

This is my first time on these stages in WRC car and last year in the R5 we had a problem through the Nambucca stage - so really it's my first time at proper rally speed. that was very encouraging for me and Raigo.

Evans 61, Meeke 56, Tänak 54 ja Sordo 52
Meekel punkte ei oska hetkel arvestada, seal võib veel kõike juhtuda aga ilmselt jääb Tänaku ja Evansi ette.
Praeguse järgi saaks Tänak 8p, Evans 2p ja Sordo 4p.
Kokku oleks:
Evans 63p, Tänak 62p ja Sordo 56p. Seega oleks Tänakul hädasti PS punkti või paari vaja

mõtlesin just sama, et Evansi võiks selle ralliga ikka ära võtta kuid selleks oleks vaja kahte PS punkti või siis homme üldis tõusmist koha võrra, sest samade punktide arvu korral jääb vist ikkagi Evans ette, sest ta on vist nii öelda tiimi esinumber oma nr.5 autoga? Või arvestatakse tulemusi.

Enne hooaega Wilson ütles, et Evansil on küll auto nr 5 aga sõitjaid koheldakse võrdselt. Ehk, siis Fordis ei ole esisõitjat.

Team Principal, Malcolm Wilson OBE, said:

"It's been a much better day for us. Ott [Tänak] has shown some really good pace with a third and second fastest time which was encouraging for the team and shows how competitive he and the car can be.

"Elfyn [Evans] managed to improve a little this morning but he also had two massive moments which makes it all the more difficult to regain the confidence he's lacking.

"We have a lot of work to do when we get back to the office to try and understand why he hasn't been able to show the pace we know he's capable of. But first, it's important to leave here with his confidence on the up.

"We'll try a few different things with the set-up this evening and hopefully that will give him the feeling he needs to be closer to where we all know he should and can be.
